Imagine waking up to your car in flames. An 06 BMW 325i just caught fire on Sunday around 2AM, while it was parked! Not a good way to start a day.

BMW is hard at work at the next generation 3 Series. Based on the CLAR platform that will under pin the 3, 5 and 7, look for a lighter and sportier 3 series. BMW wants to retain the Ultimate Driving Machine title and is hard at work tuning the G20. BMW won't have it easy with formidable competition from Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Jaguar. It is too early to tell much from this test mule but more prototypes will be rolling out of Munich soon. The G20 3 Series will go on sales in 2018.
