I pulled the trigger and bought PS2's. They are getting installed right now. I'll report back with impressions.

Love mine. I imagine somebody somewhere has complained about them (other than price) but I don't remember seeing it.

Enjoy!

I had them installed a month ago. Much better than the Contis. I do notice my steering is much more sensitive to steering input especially noticeable at freeway speeds.

Michelin PS2s > Bridgestone RE040s
Hankook RS-2 Z212s > Michelin PS2s

I'd love to get PS2's as well. Unfortunately, Tirerack is showing that the 245/35YR20 size is out until mid-August and will have to settle for Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position instead.

Wet and Dry?

Wet and Dry?
Yep!! :)

In the wet though, it's more like...
Hankook R-S2 Z212 => Hoosier Rain Radials

... or at least pretty darn close. There has been two separate events this year (Cendiv Points Event #1 and Toledo National Tour) where I was running faster times then some really good drivers on the Hoosier Rain Radials. Trust me, it doesn't make much since to me either, but it's true. In the wet, the full tread Hankook R-S2 Z212 are incredible!!

Andy, how are those things wearing down on you? I imagine pretty fast, if they are that good. Probably not such great tires for normal day-to-day driving, right?

The shaved set are wearing incredibly well, so much in fact that I think I’ll end up heat cycling them out waaaay before I’m out of tread.

The full tread set, has about 15 dry autox runs on them, 10 wet autox runs on them and about 3,000 highway miles. Considering how much grip they have, they are wearing fairly well, but are wearing faster then my PS2s were. The 15 dry autox runs put the most wear on them. At this point, I probably have about half the tread left on the front tires and about 1/4 of the tread left on the rears.

They will wear quicker then the PS2s, but if you take into account the price and grip of the Hankooks, I still think the Hankooks would make a better daily driving performance tire then the PS2s.

Except they don't make them in reasonable sizes. :p
