#2 - I had to crop the actual capital part out of this picture.........it was as white as a ghost. I have the cameras shutter open to long but that seemed to be the only way to lighten up the pictures?!? Someone help me with my digital. :D

#3 - This one came out less yellow, but I sacrifice alot of light.... Maybe I need some really big lights on tripods to even get this shot possible where the car is lit.

Then I moved across the river to get some across the water shots. Notice the capital is still a lightbulb ;O)

There is one with the xenons on. I think it was too much light might have thrown off the camera. Too much to take into consideration when taking a shot ;) I give photographers a pat on their back for their skills.

Here is the last one. This one has some more light added too it (longer exposure). I definitely need to read over some photography books.... I'm alot better at daylight shooting :D Maybe this thursday I'll get some good shots with Phil if he goes along. Thanks for loadin up my pics everyone ;)

If the area behind your subject is lighter (brighter) than the subject, your subject will appear dark in the picture. Just like looking at someone with the sun behind them. Always have your light source behind you when shooting your subject. In the case of the capitol picture, you would have needed to add lighting in front of the car (behind you) to get the desired effect, such as a flash (which would be too bright and result in a bland picture). Some of the best pictures are taken on overcast days, good color saturation. Sunny days oftentimes make for difficult shots. That's why we all love the sunset pics with the diffuse glow it provides.

You have some nice shots there Ruf:thumbup:

I'll have to let you know about Thursday, tight schedule this week:( We need to find an area with some nice "tree" type scenery as well....oh and maybe one with a horse and buggy in the background:bigpimp:

Thanks for the help john. I tried a flash, but it made the street in front of me and the pointed front only of the car extremely bright and brought out the reflects. I see what you mean though I would need to somehow with lots of low intensity lights lighten up the dark subject.

No rush Phil ;) I got the rest of my life to take pictures. Just let me know when you got some free time.

very nice pics. A couple things you can do to make a different effect and enhance the car, is put your thumb over the flash. It is ghetto but I end up doing it alot to get cool effects on pics. Another thing you can do, is go on a 1 second lapse for the exposure, and pivot the camera on any axis as long as it is very minor, and your are close to the car. It is a pain, and I cannot quite explain how to do it, as I think it is different with all cameras, but it creates a cool blur effect. I am a 100% amateur photographer, with no classes... my methods are crude, but with my camera, those are a couple ways I get some pretty cool effects. love the pics, and awesome setting.

This Hersheypark picture came out horrible, notice the light :O) Way to go scott you weren't suppose to mention that place to Phil thats his hangout ;) j/k We might be able to get some cool shots down at the park though Phil, we have connections with the managers down there at the Arena/Stadium <hint><hint>.
Lets see what Scott (LDPosse) can do to hook us up

Oh yeah, thats the Wildcat  Pretty sweet wooden rollercoaster down at the far end of the park and you can sorta make out the huge wheel threw the ride.

Drembo thanks for the flash hint. I had the exposure on that really bright one for like 4 seconds :O) I had one for 30 seconds but that was extremely bright the parking lights and surrounds street lights drowned the picture (obviously). Thats what I definitely need though is some ambient lighting on the car.

The Wildcat is too rough for me. I prefer the Great Bear and the Lightning Racer:thumbup:

I must be getting old:(

I remember the good ole days when we had park parties were they had unlimited nachos and cheese at that close food stand by tacobell, and then go on the Sidewinder 15 times to so how sick you could get :bigpimp:

I thought maybe you were a coaster junkie:yikes:

Hahaha the worst part of that whole ride is the full loop on the right said there in the back. What happens for the people that haven't ridin or seen this ride is that it takes you up backwards on the left incline then lets you go forward threw the whole process and then it cranks you up to the top of the right incline and then lets you go threw the whole thing again backwards! and that first loop backwards makes me sick..........

I'll see if I can work with some connections down there, but I dunno how they will like us rolling in there with cars worth more than their gross annual salary :D :D

Some pics by the stadium would be nice, preferably on the NW side. Maybe I can bust out that 3 key I've been holding on to and we can drive in on the field

Rufus330Ci

Hahaha they took my 3 key :O) How about the ASX key the one that opens the fridge to the ~40-50 kegs at the bar hehehe.

I better watch it I could have cops at my door looking for thoses keys. I'm clean!!
