Last weekend, Jaguar had a reception and driving experience at the Wine Country Classic at Infineon Raceway. The Jaguar reception was well done, with continental breakfast and a hot lunch at the hospitality tent, even free massages. Shuttle vans ferried people between the tent, paddock and driving tracks.
The driving experience was divided into two tracks: one for XJs/XKs, and another for X and S-Types (no R Types of any variation). However, each car was accompanied by a Jaguar rep...some were cool about driving fast, others had veiled comments about taking it easy around the track.
At the end, they gave away the usual tsotchkes (t-shirt, pen, hat, brochures) and incentive coupon ($1,000 for new car, $500 for used car).
