Has anybody had a positive experience when taking their beloved Bimmer to an independent mechanic in the Wilmington, DE area? I am looking for a good mechanic.
Thanks.

Just had my lower control arm bushings replaced (finally!) by M Tech, who according to their card, are at

2517 W. 6th Street
Wilmington, DE 19805
(302) 494 1731

This is just past Union Park on the way out of Wilmington on 52, then take a left at the light onto Greenhill Ave. 6th street is right before the 7-Eleven.

Not much experience with these guys, but they specialize in european cars, and the owner apparently worked for Union Park for 13 years. I can tell you he was very efficient in replacing the bushings - took about 15 minutes including getting it on and off the lift and obviously did a lot of these BMW-specific fixes. So much so that they apparently have a standard package price to do the rear shock mounts or for the control arm bushings.

There may be better in Wilmington, but these guys seem certainly able to deal with the routine BMW crap. They didn't even whine about using my e-bay bushings, which from past experience many shops will - i.e. they want to sell you the parts as well.
