I am due for a brake job real soon and need to replace the rotors. I have heard from a few sources that the only way to get good performance out of the brakes is to use the genuine BMW stock rotors. I found some Brembo drilled rotors for a good price and am wondering if they are worth buying. I like the look and have heard nothing bad about Brembo. My number one priority is reliability/performance, but I also want a good deal. Will the Brembo's live up to BMW standards or should I just stay with what works and get and buy genuine BMW? If you have any other suggestions let me know, I am open to other brands and setups but I am looking for something under $100 per rotor ($200/pair). By the way, I am driving a 2000 323ci.

We've found that the UN-drilled (not drilled) brembo rotors are just as durable (if not even more so) than BMW OEM rotors. Drilled rotors take away surface area when they aren't plus sized, and while this may suit some street drivers just fine, it does increase the chances for rotor cracking.
