Now that it appears that BMWNA has changed their mind regarding smg in the e90 are they going to discontinue offering it in the e60 as well?

SMG rollout on the E90 for US market has been put on hold. Due to marketing strategy BMWNA has decided to keep the SMG more "upscale and exclusive". There will be NO SMG on E90 for the NA market until further notice (My guess, 2 ~ 3 years from now). That's from the a BMWNA memo to all dealers.

For now, you will see SMG on 6/5 series, Z4, and M model cars. That is all.

Well, if beewang backs you up, then it must be true! He was right, after all, about the 545i!

Hopefully when my lease is up they will have 330ii, 335i or whatever, or an M3/4 that I can afford with this transmission. Pretty please...
