I think the light will go off all by itself after the 5th or 6th time you restart the car. If not, then I think you are stuck taking to a dealer or independent BMW mechanic.

Try leaving the key in the on position (the position where you don't actually start the car but the dash and radio etc lights up) for about 30 - 45 seconds.

If the sensor light went on, then you need to replace the sensor. Once the pads wear to the point that the sensor wears (the circuit goes open), you need to close the circuit again for the light to go off (back to unlighted).
Me, I just stripped the ends , twisted them together, and zip-tied the wiring to the strut :)

If the sensor light went on, then you need to replace the sensor.Galun and I were both assuming that he put in new sensors when he did the pads. Obviously, the light will never go out if the old sensor is still in and has been "broken".

sorry boys I put the old ones back in, I didn't realise that you had to put new sensors in, if anybody know were you can get these cheaper than at a dealers I would be greatful .
The dealership will be the cheapest place after you throwing shipping + VAT.
