I just found out the X3 doesn't have Homelink, all along I thought it did..in standard features it lists garage door opener pre wired..what is this?

The homelink is part of a replacement rearview mirror. You can get at the dealer's parts dept. It is very pricet though.

Yup - prewired means that the car has the basic wiring harness to interface with the add on rear view mirror should you choose to purchase it. Part number 51 16 8 254 060 lists for $399.00. Kinda caught me off guard as well after 3 Audi's that all had it built in. :dunno:

That kind of coin will buy you a very nice new garage door opening system with some nifty remote options and leave lots of change in your wallet.

I am absolutetly agree with you on this, for 400 buck will get me a brand new garage top of the line :-) :) . I was kind of supprise because my wife older Nissan van that was in 2000 already have that option in there for free.
Oh well we buy BMW for the sports drive right? :)
