My X3 wheels are really dirty and i have to clean it once a few days.
I just finished detailing the car body and thinking take out all four rims to clean it entirely.
My question is, do I need to do the balance after i unmount my tire??
or is it just plug and go process?

I'm assuming that you will only take the wheel off to clean and not "unmount the tire" off the rim. You shouldn't need to balance them. I would suggest rotating them and maybe balance every 6-8K mi. It would also be ideal to have the proper torque on those lugs.

If you wanna be obsessive, you might mark the hub&wheel w/ marker, noting
wheel position on that hub, and replace wheel back in same "clock position",
but I suspect the wheels were not fine balanced "on the car", so it may be overkill.

I'd pass on the "tire rotation" suggested; at most, a side to side, but even
that is really debatable,imo.

Be sure to torque smoothly, to 101 ft lbs or 140 Nm; X discs warp if you
look at them wrong, which lead to shimmies, which leads to...

yea.. just take off the wheel and clean it entirely. So, I think I can just take off, clean and put back. thats it.. right?

I thought (memory issues  ) I read somewhere in Bimmerfest that BMW recommended to NOT rotate the tires on X3's...............
