Chrome Wheels

Has anyone had their factory wheels chromed? My dealer provides this service for $400 per wheel. I have a 545i with the sport option and I think that the factory wheels chromed would look really good with the Orient Blue color of the car.

Where I live, only the drug-dealer, gang-bangers have chrome-wheeled bimmers. :thumbdwn:

Personally, I think the standard silver looks great with Orient Blue (wife drives a OB 323i). And $1600 to chrome a set of wheels sounds like your dealer is trying to squeeze a bunch of extra profit out of you. If you chrome your wheels you may have a hard time getting rid of them later on (i.e. with trade-in, sale of car).

Check Ebay for a chrome exchange. Cost is about $500. They send you the exact wheel chromed and you ship them your wheels. love the look of chrome wheels!
