Counts us as 3 from Sin-City. Me and my 2 other partners all drive e34 M5's. We own and independent BMW shop. I was the first to own a 1991 U.S Model. Then one of my partners found a 1993 model for sale in a church auction for $5k. It had a blown engine but the body and interior was immaculate. Needless to say, there was no issue putting the engine back together and now he’s got a pretty nice ride, to bad it's red. Just a few months ago, we finally convinced our 3rd partner that he to should have one. We found a pretty nice black 1991 back east via the Auto Trader. Both of there cars are pure stock. My car is sort of the R&D Guinea Pig so it goes through a few changes.

From what I know, only 1492 or so e34 M5's imported into the U.S between 1991-1995. I'm sure countless of euro models were brought in as well. So it's hard to tell how many are really out there. We know of only 6 in our area which includes the 3 we own.

Hey guys. I have another one of the 1492 or so E34's out there. Mine is a 1993 Alpine White with black leather interior. It has the original spunstar rims. A previous owner added a Dinan chip to put the HP up around 350. I've never owned a sports car before. These cars are absolutely amazing!

I just joined and wanted to share my love for my 91 M5. It just turned 100k and going strong. I have a Dinan chip, BBS/BMW 2-piece wheels and it looks like a classic to me. I also have a e24 M6 1987 with 230k miles and it's still running strong.

I joined today and share your love of the 91 M5, so much that we now have 2! My Beemer is Brilliant Red, full grey leather interior with original throwing star wheels and right hand drive. My husbands is Brilliant Red, black half leather interior, throwing star wheels and left hand drive. I just wish we had time to thrash them both around a race track to decide once and for all, who has the faster car! Unfortunately icy weather and fat tyres (245/275 ZR17's) restricts the amount of thrashing I can do at the moment - looking forward to the summer!!!

I had the pleasure of picking up ED one of the first US '91 cars in July '90. The first cars produced for the US market were very unique. The later cars were decontented for the US market. Differences that I found were early cars were had 4 bucket seats, 750 Auto climate control, projector fog lights and the V12 exhaust. Enjoy your cars, they are certainly one of the great ones.
