my nyc-based 2002 x5 4.4 runs nicely on diamaris 285/45 r19 rear and 255/50 r19 front which are apparently horrible in snow - what winter/snow should i get? tia

In the past most have minus-sized and used 17" or 18" wheels and winter tires.
