Could be worse! Now, they need to bring it over here, and stick the 3.0 liter turbo in it! :) It would be a nice replacement for those aging M Coupes out there, and I'd certainly consider the 3.0 liter normally aspirated, and would almost definitely get the turbo model.

Decent. Still waiting to see the little coupe.

i saw one of those buggers couple weeks ago down in buenos aires. nice and roomy. good starter car. but that price tag on those down there were horrendous. i forget it now but the x5 was at 95K - that's US dollars. i guess that's how it is in most countries abroad due to taxes and govt regs.

Looks ok, neither this nor the M package for E90 look very daring.
I'm surprised we still haven't seen any 1 sedan or 2 series coupe pictures.

There were lots of them a while back, with the driver's seat pressing against the rear seats, for a 6' driver. I think that's the big drawback... hardly any rear legroom at all.
I found a bunch of pics at babybmw.com (http://www.babybmw.net/viewtopic.php?t=1581). This is one of the poster's pics, but there's tons of them here. :)

How "for real" is this model as an ///M car? I would be really surprised if they released a 4-door 1er as an ///M and didn't do it with the M3. I have wondered if they were just going to put it out as a 2-door and call it the M Coupe, which would completely resolve the M1 naming issue.

That's the 5 door, I mean we haven't seen any 4 door or 2 door pics in ages.
RSP, this is just a body kit for the 130i (or 135ti maybe), the M will be a 2 door coupe most likely.
The pics look like photoshopped jobs...

I don't know whether they are photoshops or not, but these photos are released by BMW Press and Media and they are in the official press releases.
Of course, like every media agency, it is possible that they are tweaking photos, but as far as authenticity goes, these are the 'real' thing.

Funny how cars look different from different angles.
In the 1st pick, this looks a little like the PT Cruiser :yikes:
I'm not saying the car is built like on or drives like one.
Just has a faint resemblence.

wow... very nice! Both the 1series M pack and the E90 M pack look really really nice!
They should bring the 1er over here already!!!!

Looks better than the stock treatment, but I think the rear section shows way too much plastic.
