Has anybody changed out their fog lights to match their xenon headlights? if so, can you recommend a bulb that would be compatible.

thanks

On the standard bumper:
- just pop out the fog light cover (black plastic cover on bumper)
- then unscrew the 3 screws holding the fog light
- then just pull the fog light and disconnect the wire
- twist the bulb and take it out. Replace with new bulb.
- put fog light back into place along with screws
- put fog light cover back

It's quick and easy. I haven't changed my bulbs but have taken the fog lights out for fun.

If you do that...they're not going to function like "fog lights" should.

Really?? why?

Yeah, I don't get it...bulbs too bright for fog lights? Guess my simple mind doesn't understand brighter fog light bulbs working better than yellowish factory bulbs.

Xenon's don't work effectively as "fog" lights. They are just too bright.

Although, it's not like fog lights do much anyway.

How are these bulbs brighter when they are the same wattage and have a blue coating on them?

Fog lights are supposed to be amber/ more yellow because they don't reflect off the fog/snow like brighter white lights do, same reason you don't drive in fog with high beams

I think the color depend of the temperature of th bulb, isnt it? it is related to the value of "K"
like 5000K, 7000K, sth like that

Yeah color temperature is for HID's..these fog lights are halogen colored to look like HID's, maybe they are filled with Xenon gas but they aren't HID

Fog lights are basically used as a safety feature. An on coming vehicle will see the “yellow” light first, compared to a “white” light.

Color temperature (K) kelvins is typical of incandescent lighting. 6000k – considered daylight. 4000k + is considered cool white. 3500k – considered neutral white. 3200K and below is warm white.

I think the warm white you mean is the yellow right??
it is because I have seen a color chart, it has different value as you. 5000K-6000K is white color like standard Xenon.
around 3000K should be yellow color.

Warm white will have yellowness white to it as to its kelvin value. The color chart that I use has the color temperature listed as: Cherry Red, Bright Red, Orange, Yellow, Yellowish White, and White & Bluish White.
I think were on the same page as what is a white light, I just use a different terminology. No matter how you slice it, 5000k + will be a whiter light.

I don't think YOU understand.

I'd guess you're someone who drives around with your foglights on all the time.

To each his own.

Perhaps you should stop repeating everything I write and add some of value to this topic instead of being a smart A$$.
