Just picked it up last night. Titanium Silver 3.0 with black interior, rubber floor mats/cargo liner, ski roof rack, heated seats, heated steering wheel, and aux input for my iPod Shuffle (still waiting for that to come in). Today was the first time I wished my commute to work was longer! I can't believe how well the car drives - and defintely no problem with lack of power!

Congrats. Please post your pics soon. I'm waiting for my Alpine White which I should get in about two weeks. The more pics I see, the more anticipation I have for getting the car. ;)

Thanks. Pics on the way - I snapped a few before leaving for work this morning, but I'm sure they don't do it justice! Some of the little "niceties" I've discoved so far about the car (this being my first BMW):
(Base) Radio displays not only station name, but song title and artist as well
Never have to worry about turning headlights on or off, with the automatic setting
Ditto for windshield wipers
Mileage countdown to next service interval (which shouldnt be for a long while, and of course will not cost me anything!)
Passenger side mirror tilts down when in reverse (option can be shut off by toggling the left-right mirror adjust switch). I can't decide if I like this feature yet or not.
Lease payment only $203/month after trade in! Of course I will get burned at the end of the lease since I will not have anything to sell/trade in on my next car, but it's pretty comforatble financing for now.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I wasn't aware of that. I was wondering why it was a hit or miss feature. Sometimes it tilted and sometimes it didn't. Now I know.

One thing to keep in mind for the wipers, you do have to "activate" them, even when in auto-sensing mode, each time your car has been shut off.
Activation is done by either moving the little dial (which sets the sensing sensitivity), or by moving the stalk up a notch (and then back to rain sensing).
In other words, you are driving along, it starts to rain, your wipers won't go on unless you then take one of the above actions.
This prevents accidents in the car wash.
Generally, when it starts to rain, I just turn the little sensitivity dial up (and then back to its original position). That way I never have to move the entire stalk.

Here's a few pics - good thing I got them in, we are supposed to have 4 straight days of rain!

Congrats on the car Chief......I have had mine for 4 months now - and I wish all my drives were longer.
You will love the heated stuff once the cold weather arrives.
I drive this thing harder all the time - and it doesn't skip a beat.

I completely agree with the want for longer commutes. My X3 finally passed 900 miles today and I was really able to let her loose. Even though my X3 is a lease I have been following the break-in period as best I could. I've read here on Bimmerfest that the break-in is 1000 miles while the dealer told me it was 800. So I figured 900 was a good time to drive this car the way it was meant to be driven. OMG! It's such a different machine when it's pushed hard. :drive:
