I just bought this 87 325i 2 days ago. It was in very good shape. However, this morning, I saw some wet spots under the car on my driveway. Then, I put a piece of aluminum under the car and got some clear oil on top of it after 2 hours. I cannot tell if it's the engine or the brake, since the engine oil looked pretty clean inside when I checked. A friend told me that it might be that the brake oil was overcharged (the brake was done 2 days before I bought it, including the brake cylinder, and the front disks and shoes).

So, anyone got any ideas what it might be? Should I send the car to a repair shop right away?

Thanks. :)

By the way, there are several wet spots under the car instead of one. By my count, at least 3.

Just me, but I would think that a car that old doesn't have the ability to produce clear oil fluid. Unless it was changed a day ago. Pop the brake fluid cap and compare? :dunno:
