What was the elapsed time from delivery to destroyed? Less than 24 hours?

Looks like 5035 miles on the Ody in the "Before" set of pictures ??? So, although still new it doesn't look like a record amount of time from delivery to destruction. Gosh, that is....errr.....was a great looking car. The cross-drilled brakes staring back at me from being buried in the sand  Its a cryin' shame!

Considering the car flipped and rolled on both sides (notice the vertically scarred paint over the body flairs on both sides), the driver door still appears to be in good shape dimensionally. Notice also that the door paint is still OK and the roof paint is still intact as well. The door may have been pried open since the roof shows it buckled slightlly (v shape). I am very impressed with the structural integrity of the car. It appears that during the "turtle maneuver" by the driver, the car did not hit anything blunt like a tree until it came to rest on the curb, otherwise the passengers may not have been so lucky.
It just goes to show you that Darwinism can't get you all the time, however I think this driver will find himself in a similar position soon enough. Hopefully the driver doesn't take other people down with him. :thumbdwn:

Read this a few days ago. Three guys are fine. Two with minor scratches and one with a little more. I read reports that the thing rolled over a few times before it hit the curb and landed the right side up. Also, the plates says "Test" in traditional chinese, not the mainland simplified chinese. By the way, the guy who said it is in japanese technically isn't wrong. The japanese language has Han Chinese origins. That is why japanese and chinese can communicate with their written language and not the spoken language. Finally, it is reported that they were doing an M5 and E55 AMG comparo for a car mag and the owner of the E55 AMG got a little too spirited with the M5.

What does language and the use of Han characters have anything to do with this?
I believe he meant those are Japan issue license plates. Which is not true.
