Hi
I need help on bluetooth.

I recently purchased 2005 x5 and I think it already does come with a sanp in adapter. Is this compatiable with any phones? or just certain types? Do I need to get another adapter depends on the phone type?

My current phone isn't bluetooth so I am shopping for a new phone.
Any recommendation? I been wanting to get a PDA (samsung) but I don't think it's compatible with bmw.

Please help

Thank you

snap in adapter must be specific to the phone you are using........

recommended phones? NOW THAT is a LOADED question!

PDA phones that kind of work are Palm Treo 650, i-mate JAM and SE P910i that I know of. Have not found anyone with 100% success so far....

plenty of non PDA phones eg RAZR, SE T630, K750, and lots of old clunkers....

search through this forum for advice as there is usually someone who has a thread about BMW's.... http://www.expansys.com/forumoverview.asp

The Motorola V551 works great, and uses the same snap in adapter as the V600. The only Treo 650 that works in my '05 X5 is the Sprint 650, with the latest firmware update. GSM & Verizon 650's DO NOT work. If you end up with the Moto V551, I have the cradle & Snap in adapter that I'm going to sell.
