how do i get my head unit to recognize more than 99 songs on my alpine cd changer.
or how do get it to change folders ???
It does recognize more than 99 songs, it's just a display problem. Song 100 will be displayed as 01 again. You can't change folder, other than skipping through all the song in a particular folder, which will then takes you into the next folder. All of these are just limitations of the converter box. Although, someone is working on a better converter box to solve these exact limitation. See this link => http://www.intravention.co.uk/new_www/index.php

Try burning the disc as an MP3 disc, there is other information stored on the disc for MP3's like playlists, folders..etc.

i think i tried that, it seems when i hit song 99 it wont advance any further.
has anyone else had this problem with this changer ??
Which adapter do you have? Blitzsafe or Soundgate? On my Soundgate adapter, once it hit song 99, I can't use the skip foward button to try to advance to song 100. I have to wait for song 99 to finish on it's own and then it will advance to song 100 (display will be 01 again). Only then at song 100, the buttons will work normally again.

i have'nt tried that yet. i think mines a soundgate as well.
i hope intravee gets on the market soon.
BMW should have taken care of this problem in this day and age !!!
days of the cassette are long but gone (like the 8 track)
