I was wondering if there was a way that you can get the Navigation screen in the BMW 645Ci to play actual DVD's. I know where you go to the Entertainment menu, and go under CD, there is options for CD, CD Changer and DVD. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, if you can't do it stock, if there an aftermarket thing you can buy that would allow you to play DVD's while driving!?

Thanks in advance!

Haven't played w/ the BMW nav system, but i know the M45 will allow dvd to play, but will shut off when in gear. I understand that there is a item that can be installed to over-ride this feature though. :)

Neither Hard- nor Software in the BMW DVD-Nav´s are prepared or supposed to play Video-DVD´s.

You´ll need an external player and either an external monitor or an interface to the built in monitor to play Videos.

The DVD slot ist meant only for Nav-DVD´s and Audio-CD´s and Audio-DVD´s (thopugh not officially supported)
