Anyone out there put a deposit on the next generation M3 (2007/2008)?

Nope...and no intentions of doing so...
First I have to see what it looks like...then compare it to what else is out there. Just because I bought four M3's in a row...well, #5 will be a strong contender but far from being a shoo-in...
...specially this morning, I was following a 360 Modena on my commute...made my car feel and sound like a Lexus. :bawling: :p

I wouldn't take a deposit on a car that's 2+ years away.

Who ever would take a deposit this early, is probably a salesman that doesn't plan on being there in two years. :p

Why would that matter, Im not sure maybe a dealer here would answer but I thought the SA doesnt get any credit until the car is delivered or sold. My dealership would take a deposit on a 2010 if you wanted to give it to them. :)

I wonder if Jon Shafer is accepting deposits on the E90 M3's, in Santa Barbara? I'd be curious as to what their waitlist policy is? Jon?
wouldn't even consider it till I saw what it's going to look like.
the way bmw is going these days, you might have better luck with a mail order bride.

Only people who don't know BMWs would put deposit down for the first model year not people who know BMWs.
Have we forgoten the first model year of E36 M3s? soft springs, mis-shifting gears, plastic waterpumps, broken sunroofs, not to mention smaller engine, etc .
Or maybe we have forgotn the 2001, 2002, 2003 model M3s with siezed motors, those who put down their deposit first were the ones who suffered the most,
so a rule of thumb, always buy the last year BMW model.
PS:any deaers taking deposit for a 2012 M3? :bigpimp:
