Hi Folks
I have an 96 840Ci which I love but it has an irritating driveline vibration from 45-60kph (30-40mph). It seems to be a bit worse when cold.
So far we've checked the tailshaft, uni + CV: replaced the centre bearing (shaft spun up fine after that) and tried the preload on the bearing in 3 different settings but no difference. Also replaced trans mounts.
The transmission has been inspected and is in A1 condition. Car has done 88,000km (55,000 miles) and is otherwise very tidy; a 9/10 the mechanic says.
I'd really value some ideas. I don't mind replacing whatever needs replacing but I don't know what to do.
cheers,
GM
