I bought a 1987 325e TC BAUR convertible a week ago and swapped out my good poineer for the crappy clarion that the previous owner installed. I noticed 4 bass blockers shoved in there. I couldnt get my headunit to lock in with the bass blockers hooked up because they take up way to much space back there. Right now im running the speakers without bass blockers. The speakers are Poineer not sure what model but handle 120 watts each. my headunit is 50 watts X4 . My question is can i put the bass blockers near the speakers on the wire that goes directly to them or do i need to push harder on my headunit and shove it in there.

You should be ablee to put the bass blockers anywhere in-line. Sounds like they were stuffed back in behind the radio for convenience sake.

That was my original thought, but I figured maybe he liked that tinny sound. :dunno:

i couldnt tell a difference in quality with them in or out, but i think they block out only the really low tones. I have them out now, i just set the bass on my HU to a good spot.
