Airbag light on

Every time i start my car the Airbag light remains ON but after maybe 10 minutes the light switches OFF. What is wrong with my Airbags?

This same thing happened recently to my '96 323I. I had the passenger seat out for repair, which upset the OBC noting it as "an event". The airbag harness in the seat was disconnected/reconnected correctly, however BMW's like to tell you everything and this is just one example. Could have driven it forever, but it is worth going to your dealer to get the computer reset. Dealer did it for nothing.

Same here. New seat set off alarm. BMW shop reset it as a courtesy. :bigpimp:

You're not alone. My airbag light does exactly the same thing ('95 325iC). Comes on initially, then goes out after 10 minutes. At some point I'll take it to the dealer, but it seems like it is insignificant for the moment.
