Hey Guys! This is my first post here, I figured I would make it count with some good news. Last Sunday my 2002 M Coupe showed up. Heres a rundown on what I ended up with...

2002 M Coupe.
Sapphire Black Metallic with Black and Grey Interior.
28,000 Miles
Clear Title

The only exterior problems where very small blemishes; the type that are simply inevitable from driving.

The interior is more or less flawless. The only thing it needs are new bolts for the cargo net... why in the hell these would be gone is beyond me.... Aside from that, it looks new.

I think its safe to say the only thing that needs work is the driver. I've never driven anything nearly as fast... but at the same time, I've never driven anything as nicely situated and assorted as this car. Everything (shift knob, steering wheel, ect.) feels like its where it should be. Form and function seem to blend nicely with this car.

There is really no point to this post other than to let everyone know I am new member who looks forward to future posts, and to announce that I am now a member of the M Coupe posse, haha.

Isn't it a great feeling?!! Sounds like you have a very nice coupe there --- congrats!!!
Did you find yours locally or did you have to look afar? I had to go to San Antonio, TX to get mine.
Welcome aboard!

I had to buy mine from New Jersey.... and I live on the West Coast of Southern California, haha. It was $1,250 to ship, and well worth it. I was weary about an East Coast car because of the possibility of rust, but there there isn't a spot of it anywhere.

Congratulations to you, too. I wish I could have found a lower mileage Coupe (28k isn't too bad, I guess). There was one for sale 6 miles from my house with only a few thousand, but its also almost $50k.... a bit more than I am willing to spend.

If you don't mind sharing how much did you pay? I know the exact one you where looking at, I offered them $36000 and they wouldn't take it. I ended up finding a 1999 with 7,750 miles for a steal of a price. The S54 would have been nice but I don't think I could have found a newer Coupe than I did. It has never seen rain and kept in a heated garage. It is getting shipped as we speak, I should have it in the next few days......I can't wait! :bigpimp:

If its the same one I am thinking of, they dropped the price from $42k to $39k.... I offered em $34,5 and they said the lowest they would go was $35,3... so I took it. Congrats on your new car! All I can say is the days till it shows up at your door go by soooo slow....

Congrats on the new rides!

Took me 18 months of looking to find my '02 S54! :yikes: Fortunately for me, I had an '02 Roadster to keep me happy while I scoured the country! When I finally did find it, it was 45 minutes away and exactly what I was looking for....'02 steel grey with 13K miles.

I have found that the right cars just have a way of finding you!

Hay, that's my car! I picked up an '02 Steel Gray Roadster last year, but it came from southern CA. Just had it in the shop for some minor things, one of which was the seam around the back window which was coming out again. I asked them to glue it back and the service manager asked if I hadn't had that done before. I said I had, several times, so he replaced the top. Now I have a new top and back window!

BTW I'm in southern Denver. What part of town are you in?

That's the best kind of post there is; a new M owner. Remember, you now own one of the rarist, fastest, most exotic and fasinating cult cars ever built. Get used to being treated like a star.
