I've searched and not found anyone reporting a similar situation, so I figured I'd ask... I just retrofitted Bluetooth into my '04 330 and it seems to work well with my phone, including the voice commands. The only two issues I've noticed are that the sound of the other party on the phone has very little high frequency response over my stereo (is that adjustable? Otherwise, I can live with it), and that when I'm listening to my iPod via IceLink and a call comes in, the iPod is not paused properly, the way a CD is, for example. It seems to _try_ to pause it, but then alternates between pause and play every couple of seconds. Note that during this time the sound from the iPod doesn't come through and interfere with the call, but it seems like bad behavior for the iPod and I also lose my spot in the song... :) Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any suggestions?

Also, I've got the 84 31 8 380 319 microphone and was wondering if people thought it was worth it to upgrade to the 84 31 6 938 762, which supposedly has better noice-canceling characteristics?

Thanks.

The iPod should pause. Check that you have the latest firmware from Dension.

Does that apply to the IceLink 1.1 (i.e. the model before the IceLinkPlus)? I'm not sure if it's possible to upgrade the firmware on my hardware. Anyone know?

Thanks.

Johnathan's right, may be a firmware issue.

What version of firmware are you using on the icelink? This is determined by looking at the iPod's screen during the "Do not browse the iPod..." message when connected to the icelink.

Wow - didn't realize that the firmware displayed there. That's because I have the iPod in the trunk when in use (no, I don't keep it in a hot trunk regularly). Thanks Tom.

Thanks Tom, but I think my IceLink might be a prior version to the one you're describing (is that possible?). I don't get a "Do not browse the iPod..." message. I'm fairly sure this one was purchased prior to the release of the IceLinkPlus (I think it's an IceLink 1.1). Would this be firmware-upgradeable?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the v1.1 icelinks are not firmware upgradeable. This is only a feature on the Plus models.

That's what I suspected. It's okay, as I'm very happy with my IceLink in general. A workaround is that I just have to push the stereo on/off knob when a call comes in or I make one. Not a big deal. Thanks for your help Tom. You've been really helpful to many of us.
