Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to order the 6-series in a paint color that's not a shade of gray/silver nor dark muted color? In other words, is it possible to order something bright, like a red or yellow? For example, "Imola Red" from the X5 and M3 comes to mind.

Thanks for any info!

By the way, this is the color I had in mind for a 6-series (shown here on a 3-series)...A similar color is supposedly in the works for the M6...

You show good taste by willing to special order Imola Red for you new car. :bigpimp: BTW, IR is/was also available on the 330i (E36) when ordered with the Perfomance Package.

Special order paint requires a dealer that is willing to work with you since the official line is that it cannot be done. Permission will be required from BMWNA who may or may not be in the mood that day. There will be a $2,000 upcharge for doing a special paint. You probably will also need to be ready to put down a larger deposit when ordering the car.
