When I had my first E46, everything was great for the first couple of months. As soon as I took it in after two months for the airbag and brake clip recalls, my nightmares began. I barely drove out of the lot when the SRS light came on. It went off and on for the following two months, no one knew how to fix it- the shop foreman, service manager and even the BMW field service engineer. It got to the point I was ready to sell out of it and leave the BMW family.
