European shaped license plates?

Is it possible to get european shaped license plates in the States? Does it depend on the state? I'm just researching body kits for my car, and some of them require the slimmer european plates, instead of the fatter american plates.

No.....any modification license plate....the cops will confiscate it....then you'll have to pick it up in downtown.

I saw a site on ebay that sold Euro 'style' plates from a variety of European countries. Is that what you're looking for?
