Does anyone know if you can retro fit heated seats on and e46 M cab. My local dealer wants a fortune, can it be done DIY.

Probably - the guys here were going to look into it for HACKs 3 series because we'll have the interior (which has heated memory seats) out of the M3 soon and they'll be available.

But you'll already have the leather back seats, but I digress . . .

The car should already have the harness in place, you should just need the switches and maybe put in a fuse. We retro fitted heated seats in a Z3 and it was pretty painless. The only thing you had to watch out for with that was that somewhere in the production of Z3s, they changed the connectors (so if you had an early car and late seats - or vice versa - you could get a big surprise).

So if you can get heated seats from the same year as your car, you should eliminate that possible snag.
