Had a few minutes to take a few shots today...it only has 250 miles on it but it's filthy. :( Next week RG4s should come in and I'll take pics then...I know the orange reflector is ugly and it's a 4x4. Working on it. :)

That's a very nice ride...did you get a good deal on it? Those guys at BMW of Austin wouldn't budge much off the msrp on the e90 for me.

Thanks! I got a pretty good deal...3rd car from same salesman. I really wouldn't expect them to budge much on an e90 just yet. They seem to be selling well. Did you have an E46 to compare it to? Pros/Cons? I'm waiting for the official e90 m3/4/3.5 whatever it's gonna be announcement.

How were you able to get sparkling graphite on an M3? Was this a custom job or aftermarket? I thought (at least according to bmwusa.com) only color options on 05 were Carbon Black, Interlagos, Tit Silver, Silver Gray, Mystic Blue, White, Black, Red. I didn't think BMW did that. Please do tell... Nevertheless, excellent choice in color!

Thanks! Special order color, handled by BMW Individual. Some dealers will do it, for some customers, and some won't. It's my third BMW from the same dealer/salesman.

Ah but of course. I'd heard about that. Can you pick any color? Is there a catalog? Extra charge? So many questions, so little time :)

Well, mine isn't an M3, so your's probably IS the only one.

Swaybarbarians =  Best $350 I've ever spent in my entire life, hands down!

You can pick most any color which hasn't been discontinued. Sparkling Graphite Metallic is a 3-series color, so it was easy. I tried for other graphite colors but was unsuccessful. I researched about 2 months looking for colors...I think some non-USA BMW websites have an individual section which shows some of the colors.

This place has touch up sticks, which is a good reference for BMW paint codes:

Also do a google search for BMW Individual.

MSRP for Special Exterior Paint is about $2000.

And now with 1200 miles, RG4s and clear reflectors...

nice, now lose the egg yolks

FYI, Discontinued (recent) colors can also be had if the you get a dealer willing to push for you, the planets align, you sacrifice a small goat, AND th person making the final decision at NA got lucky the night before.

what are your plans for dropping your sled?
