Read on another board that the SMG in the 650 will be 7 speed. Anyone else hear this or is it just a vicious rumor?

Its a rumor, someone got confused w/ 650 SMG and the new M6 SMG. This is how rumor got started ;)

It's highly unlikely for BMW to throw the SMG 3 unit into the 650i, we would be very lucky if they even consider throwing in the SMG 2 unit. I guess these 'higher end' transmission units are kept exclusive to their M-cars.
