Just sold my RS Cosworth and I wanna buy an e36 m power.

Is it possible to supercharge them, if so how much , how much more power do you get and are there any downsides

Thanks Mr Brannen

they make kits for the e36 to supercharge em'. the power varies as to how much money you have, and how reliable...should be atleast a 30% gain in power overall though
below is a link to a kit. Its costly though. That site should answer all you questions...there are other kits other then bavarian, I'm just showing you whats available.

Supercharging... You can easily get a 25% increase in power for about 2 grand going NA. If you want to go all out it's possible to get 400hp with out forced induction. I'm a fan of all motor, but if you really want, go talk to the guys at DA motorsports, they've got a new turbo kit that'll give you 1000hp. Only 23K.

25% increase for $2000 as normally aspirated?! pls tell me how!

Im very new to e36 m3's, but from what i've read, cam's, headers, etc dont buy you much with the e36 m3 engine. my impression is that if you want to break beyone the 250-260 mark, then you're looking at a superch, turboch, or even (heaven forbid) NOS.

please tell me i'm wrong, cause i'll sure sign up for 50hp for $2K!
