Best new Feature/Technology/Gimmick on E90s

Just wanted to know which new feature/technology/gimmick you like best on the new e90s. I would say the hp increase is nice but having owned an e46 330, the increase is marginally noticeable.

My "gimmicky" vote is for the new puddle lights. There's just something about them - that's very "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind"...

I think the adaptive braking stuff like when it rains and it wipes your rotors clean every once and a while is a nice technological safety advancement.

As for gimicks, the comfort access rules that domain.

Bluetooth and voice-activated dialing. (Chicago just went hands-free (thank god!) and they are handing out tickets left and right.) I have my phone set up so the minute my engine is on, if my phone is anywhere in the car or trunk, the bluetooth connects. No more fumbling in a bag. :thumbup:

There are really 3 questions here, so I had to answer with my #1 of those, manual transmission. But for technology I would go with iDrive. Really nice and convenient features are Comfort Access, the puddle lights and BT phone integration.

The question actually is asking for either Feature/Tech/Gimmick - sorry if that wasn't clear - not sure if you guys have listened to the Logic 7 System, but it's actually quite nice. The customizable EQ feature works well but would be better if there were preset EQ settings.

I voted for the 6-speed because what surprised me on the E90 wasn't available in the poll. I really liked the lane changing directional signal. Three blinks and its off. Pretty cool! Maybe its not new to the E90. If so, please forgive me as I haven't owned a BMW since my 1984 318i which I had to sell in 1989.

I thought 8 new features would be satisfactory :mad: - actually only 10 items allowed in polls.

But yes, the dual-stage lane change control is new - still getting used to it myself. Active Cruise Control is another. PDC - park distance control is another. That little compass which appears in your rear view mirror is new and the OBC display has been revised. Dual-zone HVACs, rear-passenger HVAC... am I missing anything else? if you want to talk about structural changes, there are plenty there as well..... :yikes:
