Things that i hate:

- jealous idiots that spit on your car when it's parked so i go crazy when i find it

Man, how often does this happen to you? How do you know it's out of jealousy? I know I know, be reasonable... but we often project too. If you had a beater box, and someone pulls up to you in a 6er, would you be jealous? I don't think I would be. I didn't have a car for over 10 years, and I wasn't jealous of anyone with a car, and certainly not ones with fancy sport cars.

Heck, I think I'd be jealous of them! 80k is alot of money, and I know in 3-4 years I could double that money in the market. But, hell, I love my car.

Anyways, I've only noticed spit on my car once. At the time, I didn't know if it was spit or not, because I live in the city and there's all sorts of weird liquids on the sides of streets, you never know. It was on the hood of my trunk.

Because it only happened once, and I've never heard or seen of people spitting at cars out of jealousy, I just don't think -in my case- it was jealousy. It was also a big reason why I didn't think it was spit in the first place.

No! I didn't wipe it off with my hands. :)

That's just wrong, but yes, haters are everywhere.

Pray that it only stays with spit, some have worse ideas than that.

True, true. A buddy of mine bought an Audi 8L and it wasn't even a month when someone keyed the whole hood. It looked awful. If someone did it to my car I probably would have ended up with a heart attack.

Did he park it in a bad neighborhood? I haven't had a problem with my car except for that one spitting incident, and I don't even know if that was intentional or not.

Someone told me that if your car ever got keyed, then chances are the key-er knows you in some way, it could be tenuous link between you and the key-er. Would you agree with this?

For instance, you might have slighted the cleaning guy, and not have given it much thought, don't remember the guy at all, but he sure knows you and the car you drive.

I had a small 1 inch key mark on my Z4 when parked on the Stanford Campus! And this is a place where much more expensive cars abound.

He did not. As a matter of fact it happened in the same parking lot I used to park every other day.

I've never been jealous of someones car, maybe envious. I wouldn't care what car I have, a Dihatsu or BMW, I treat my cars the same. I take care of them and it really pisses me off when some A-Hole does something stupid like spits, keys or anything else. If I saw someone doing it do anyones car, I would be calling the cops. I don't think those people are jealous, just stupid.

A number of years ago I was in the Mission district of SF with my, then, 1996 328is. I went in to BK for lunch, came out to find someone had pi$$ed on the passenger side door of my freshly washed car. It was on Mission St in plain daylight. Pigs I tell you, PIGS!

Possibly an accident by a passerby or some kind of random parking lot damage? :dunno:

I was in SoCal a couple of months ago, driving my wife's brand new X5, with my wife and two kids with me. We were on Sunset Blvd, going to make a left turn. I see this guy making a left turn in front of me as I am sitting at the red light. His window is down, and he spits the nastiest loogie all over my side of the windshield and the drivers side front window. If my window was down he would've got me. There is NO WAY it wasn't anything but intentional.

If I was alone I would've flipped a U and kicked the sh!t out of him. I pulled over immediately in a gas station at wiped it off. So damn nasty, and it had run down onto the paint. :thumbdwn:
