Lock Problem

I forgot about one other problem I have with my car along with my blinking dome light. When I either lock, or unlock the car from the drivers side door it only locks or unlocks the drivers side door, and not the passenger door or the trunk. But if I lock or unlock the door from the passenger door it will unlock, and lock both doors, and the trunk. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be, and how I can fix it. Thank in advance for your help

Does the central lock button in the car work?

Yeah, the center button works, but that doesn't really do me any good if I want to lock the car from the outside, and not want to walk all the way around to the passenger door

I do believe I have to turn my key twice in order to unlock all doors from the driver's side... first time to the left unlocks just the driver's door, second time does everything. Though I think convertibles might have different locking patterns (i.e., locking the trunk always locks both doors).

I tried turning the lock in the same directon twice, and that didn't work, I really didn't think it would, because I never had to do that before.
