is it just me or does the rear end of these two cars look very similar.

i think the side profile of that trunk deck lid is almost identical.

The new Accord coupe has some nice Benz-ripoff taillights, but the rest of it reminds me more of a Mercury Cougar.

wonder who ripped off who? and what's with the wheelie bar on the back of that Accord. some sort of camera rig? but it looks like the car is just being driven around not for the purpose of a photoshoot.

I believe that is a photo rig. Notice how the car is clean, the sun is out but the ground is wet? Looks like they were shooting a commercial. :D I'm not sure what they call it, but that rig is probably the one used for shots where the vehicle stays perfectly still but the wheels and background move around. :dunno:

figured as much. it just seems like the car is on a public road. hate to be standing/driving beside that thing when the driver makes a turn.

or maybe the driver is just pulling into a local drag strip. :)
