This pains me to do this but I feel I must. I just bought a 2005 X5 3.0 last week and need to sell it. I really don't want to get into the reasons why but if you are interested, I will tell my story. The car is fully loaded. It has the premium package, sport package, navigation, cold weather package, rear climate package, adaptive xenons, panorama sunroof and steptronic. It is Sterling Gray in color and has gray leather. The car is better than showroom quality as I have already installed a clear bra ($700) and the Dension Ipod adaptor ($200). Currently, I have driven it only 4x and it has less than 200 miles on it. It's basically brand new. I know that I will take a hit on the price. I paid exactly $7k under msrp as BMW was offering a $5k incentive on it during the month of Sept. This incentive is gone now. The car's msrp was $53,520. I paid $46,520. I know that I am going to eat the tax and registration. I am willing to sell the car at a $2k loss. Thus, the car's selling price is $44,520. That's a full $9k off msrp. Invoice price on this vehicle is $49k even. You will be able to buy it for a full $4k+ under invoice. Once again, this car is brand new and I have only driven it a few times. It has the original tank of gas! If you are interested, you can call me at 831-809-9396. I live near Monterey, CA. Thanks for your time.

I had struggled with the decision of buying this car or the new Lexus IS350. The only reason why I bought this car was because of the incentives from BMW and the fact that if I changed my mind, I could give it to my wife. I figured the incentives were going to go away if I didnt make the decision. I pulled the trigger and thought I could live with the decision. Well, after a week or so, it's obvious that I can't. We already have a 2005 Acura MDX and really dont need an X5. I figured that my wife would like the X5 over the MDX and that I would trade in her car if I decided to get rid of the BMW. It turns out that she doesnt like the X5 and prefers her MDX over it. Obviously, the MDX has a cushier ride and she doesn't like the BMW feel.

i hear ya brutha' man, and i feels your pain.

my wife also prefers the cushier ride of the rice burners over our german bretheren.

and i too am thinking about an is350 (trading in my 330i), although if i get the boxster for the sales competition, i guess i'll keep my bimmer.

let me talk to the boss when she gets back from the 3 year old b-day party.

Price drop to $44k even. I am serious about this price. Please don't hesitate to call me on my cell phone. Once again, this car has less than 200 miles on it and is immaculate. Not only are you getting almost a full $10k off msrp, you are also getting a free clear bra install by one of the best installers in the USA ($700) and a free Dension Ipod lcelink ($200). I have perfect feedback on ebay under sanglee24 if it helps anyone. If no one bites at this offer within 1 week, off to Lexus it will go. Thanks guys.

If I were you I would see if you could work out something with the dealership on another car. Couldn't hurt.

That is a good thought matwags. I could possibly go for another 330I. Thanks for the suggestion.

I agree... see if you can get the dealer to take the car back and get you something else. Dealers will work with each other...

Maximus have you tried posting in craigslist, cars.com etc. That will be a much wider audience. Also you could actually negotiate off sticker with some folks who bite there. Not everyone knows about the incentives and your purchase price. It also would not hurt to actually take it to a Lexus dealer and ask them what they are willing to offer for the car. You might be surprised how much they are willing to pay to get a Bimmer Guy into the Lexus fold. Also, do talk to your SC salesman. They might be willing to take it back and also do something with the taxes (do a buyback or something).
