I'm a new 1998 Techno Violet M3 owner. Just picked it up used yesterday and I have a climate control problem that I was hoping you might have some ideas on how to fix. Basically, while I'm drivng sometimes the climate control wear turn on and cut off on it's own. It seems like the wiring might be loose or something, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This is a common problem in e3e bmws the only way I know of to fix this is to have it sent in to have it repair, or spend $400 on a new climate control unit. I had my unit sent in to this guy on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-CLIMATE-CONTROL-REPAIR-E36-318-323-325-328-M3-HVAC_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33545QQitemZ800380 5668QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW at the time I only had to pay $30.00 to have mine repaired I think he is charging $45.00, and I got a lifetime warranty on the repair. I don't know if he still does that either, but my climate control unit works perfectly now. I would suggest sending yours to him. Or if you have the money buy a new one for $400. I hope this was helpful
