Err I dont think I can make this event :-( LDV, are there any other cool events like the Mazda/Lexus events coming up? I would love to do TWS, but right now - it's a bit pricey, and I don't have a helmet yet.
What about an Austin meet - anyone got any bright ideas?

The Mrs just told me she would like to go to Austin for Vets day weekend. Its just about oil change time so maybe I could score a good loaner and meet up. I'll know whether I'm in on Mon or Tues. The Brother in law would sure like another chance to roast the wheels off my car. :(

I might be in for this, but not sure about the work schedule (I have a trial set for the next week).
On a similar note, it looks like I'll be doing an install of the ice>link iPod solution, so if anyone wants to join in/help out/or just watch my car be a guinea pig let me know. It'll be somewhat interesting installing it on top of the XM Direct because apparently some have complained of compatibility issues between the two. I'll be routing it up into my arm rest, where I'll keep the iPod.
I'm not sure when I'll get in all the parts for this, but I can try to schedule the install depending on whether others want to show up...

Salt Lick might be a lil' heavy for lunch, but we still need to check with xspeedy.
And what about icemanjs4?

The Waterloo on 360/2222 is kid friendly, and they have draft Paulaner weissbier. Rather central for most folks, and we can always do something after that.
A pic for you all to ponder. Where in the world is xspeedy?

A pic for you all to ponder. Where in the world is xspeedy? The Frontier Hotel
3120 Las Vegas Blvd South
Las Vegas, NV 89109
The theme of this Las Vegas hotel is unmistakably western. The Frontier was built in 1963, but renovated in 2003 to ensure that it meets the demanding standards of Vegas visitors. It re-opened as The New Frontier but with all the charm of the "old" Frontier.
The Frontier is in a great location Center Strip. It is surrounded by the new Wynn Resort, Fashion Show Mall, Treasure Island, Sands Expo, Venetian and it's a very short distance to the Las Vegas Convention Center. It's an ideal place to stay whether you are vacationing, on a shopping spree or on a business trip.
So what do I win?

One thing though. I want to take pics of my E30 with my E46 somewhere scenic. Anyone have an extra driver? If so, maybe we could all just meet at IBM on Burnet, because thats where the E30 is parked.

I've been wanting to try habitat for years! As long as they let me wield a hammer and a drill - I'll be a happy camper!

I guess I could leave my car at home and drive yours... But my car's so much better than yours :-p  :eeps:
Besides, Gray next to black would make for some cool shots
Why don't we go for a "test drive" on saturday of an E36. Just make sure we can find some variation of a Silver E36 in town first.

Here's what got me. The three of us were lined up on 360 getting ready to turn onto Spicewood Springs. Naturally, the order was Hockeynut, A CAMRY!!!!!!, me, and Afshawnt. So as the turn signal changed to green, Hockeynut got off the line quick and waved goodbye to us as we were stuck behind the camry. I did the only thing I could think of - accelerate like crazy and pass the Camry before the road narrowed. The rest of the trip was great until that 6 came and drove the rest of the way in 1st gear. But it gave Afshawnt plenty of time to catch up with us.
Lots of fun guys! Thanks

Hey, I'm in Austin, too. I recently acquired Heidi (my ZHP), and she would like to meet y'all. I live near Mopac and 2222, work at Mopac and Burnet/Duval (across from IBM).
Also, is there a place to autocross in Austin?
