I am contemplating about getting a set of 17x8 BBS RK II wheels for my 04 330Ci Coupe and I would like some recommendations on what tire size that would give me the best performance and/or ride. Thanks.

IMO I think a good tire size for that rim would be a 225/45 17.

245/40 17 would also work with those rims (Wider tires).

You could go offset and put 225/45 17 in the front and 245/40 17 in the back. Both these tires would fit your rims and are also recommended in the owners manual. You would have to check for the offsets and might need a spacer on either the back or the front.

I just put Goodyear F1 GSD's on my M3 love them (so far) !

Good grip & quiet. Of course almost any tire would have beat the Conti's.

Flash, how many miles do you have on your F1's? It's pretty much game over for the Pilot Sports that came on my car originally, and I just now ordered the F1's from Tire Rack. The F1's seemed to perform as well or better than the regular Pilot Sports, and I just couldn't justify spending so much more for the PS2's. I hear those Conti's are worthless.

Anyone else have any experience with the Goodyear F1 GS-D's?

I hardly drive my M3, but I have a few hundred miles on the tires, so my opinion is very premature, but they do an awsome job in terms of grip in rain or dry.

The F1 GSD's are a step up from the Pilot Sports, but Pilot Sports are also a huge step up from the Conti's.

I predict you will be quite happy with the F1-GSD's, the nicest surprise for me was the wonderful rim protection they offer !!! the sidewall design gives you extra rubber to hit the curb with, rather than your rims.

Let me know when they show.

** Good luck Sunday too !!

Rim protection is brilliant, I have it on my Toyo T1R for my 540
The T1R is also an excellent tire...

I like the Toyo T1's, my Brother has them on his 911
