tic toc tic toc.. was never good at waiting.. car is paid for.. called bmwna/ED and they confirmed that the car has been built / final check in process and ED dept has confirmed that I am scheduled for a Nov 7th pickup (though they were suprised that I called but with 40+K on the line and two weeks of travel plans paid for.. how can someone not double check the info, some would classify this as OCD but I think of it more as CYA :rofl: )....

Finalizing travel plans:
2 nights in munich (pre-pickup)
1 night bodensee
2 Venice (suggestions welcome for hotels/B&B)
2 florence
3 somewhere along the french riviera/ southern france
1 night munich

Looks like you'll put some decent miles (sorry, kilometers) on the car! Should be a blast...here's to good weather all the way! :thumbup:

i hear its an indian summer right now... i hope it continues... :)

leaving the end of the trip open ended to see where the road takes us... thats part of the fun.. maybe nice maybe lyon... dunno.. depends on the where the car tells me to go.... :D

That's a great way to do it! I agree, that is part of the fun. Hope you have a blast and take LOTS of photos.

There are six of you now listed (including florinus) for a November 7 pickup, someone should plan a meetup! We had ours at the Marriott sports bar the evening before, after or during our pickups, 11 total, 5 bf'rs with friends.

Intertesting...my plans are similar except picking up Nov. 8. Going to make my deposit today :D

Bmwgrrl: Do you mean your payment rather than your deposit? Kind of late to be ordering now for a Nov 8 delivery. :dunno:

I financed through BMW financial and was told my loan wouldn't start accruing interest until 12/11, which is a nice surprise. :clap: I've read stories here of people paying 2-3 months before they get their car here in the states.

Anybody doing munich tour 11/8?

Yes with BMWFS it's 60-days after. BTW what kind of interest rate did you get and how many months?

I am doing the $$$$$ paperwork on Sat.

6.99% for 5 years. Not great but I plan to pay it off/transfer once I actually get the car.
