Tore up a Bridgestone tire on a recent trip. I think the sidewall failed but the local Firestone/Bridgestone store claims it was "impact damage". Managed to replace it with a Kumho same size and get home OK. So, what would you do?
A Keep the Kumho on until Michelin time (It looks like a snowtire and is very noisy, plus it doesn't match of course)
B Buy a new Bridgestone so they all match
C Keep after Bridgestone to replace the tire and maintain the status quo
My wife thinks I'm nuts to spend $300 on a new tire since we just bought a new tire...but that's woman stuff. The tires only have 9,000 miles on them.
