Of course all are welcome!!! My non-8 friends are going to be there; one with an '00 M5, one with a '97 M3, and another with a '96 993 Twin Turbo.

BTW, I like my factory M-System II wheels as they're strong and light-weight (forged), look great, easy to keep clean, and functional (they draw air from the wheel wells to help keep the brakes cool).

See you there!

The So Cal 8 meeting is now history. What a fantastic day! The people were great, the cars were beautiful, the weather was nice and cool and, to top it off, a new world’s record for the most number of 8 series cars in one place and at one time has been re-set. It doesn't get much better than this. The previous record set in France in early August 2002 was 26, and at photo time, the So Cal 8s had 26 e31s. Then, just as the photo was to be taken, number 27 (the black 850 in the center of the V) pulled in. You should have heard the cheers. A special thanks to the Lake Forest California Fuddruckers that roped off the parking lot, provided the banquet room, and let us take pictures from their roof. Next year’s event will be even bigger with all the West Coast 8 clubs getting together (including Canada) to form the Left Coast 8s (LC8s). So keep watching for details.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I very well may be the only 8r here. The 8 series BMWs are so misunderstood. Everyone thinks that they're overweight and slow, but with the right tweaks, it quickly becomes a monster. I installed H&R Sport springs, Bilstein Sport shocks, 3.15 lsd (stock is 2.81), 17" forged M-System II wheels, and M-Technic body kit, and it blows away my friend's 2002 540i Sport (both acceleration and handling). It really woke the car up. Here's another angle of my car...
