Hi Gary, I'm looking at the BBS RK's in 18" as my winter wheels and I had a few questions.

I was wondering what the offset is on those.

They are 18x8.5's and I have a 330i sport. The reason I ask is b/c right now my wheels are staggered, 18x8 up front and 18x8.5 in rear. The recommended tire size from your site on the 18x8.5's is 225-40-18, wheras my current rear tires (same size rim) are 255's. I guess in general I'm not understanding why new wheels the same size as my current rears would run on tires the same size as my current fronts (which are .5 less in width).

Obviously I have wheels with different offsets right now, thus my first offset question b/c I'm wondering how the car is gonna look (mainly in the rear without 255's) and if the wheels on the back are going to further in, or have the same offset as I have now (which I assume would make the front tires stick out a bit more)

I hope my questions make sense, if not I can try and clarify

Thanks!

This wheel is 38mm offset, 18X8.5".

Your current wheels are wider in the rear than in the front, which is referred to as staggered wheels, rather than wheels ahveing a different offset from each other. Most 225/40R18 tire can fit on any wheel within the rim width range of 7-9", and the more narrow 225 width tire is preferred for winter usage. Since the rear tires will not be quite as wide, the tires will sit further in.
