Everyone (including Gary),

I was thinking about putting takeoffs from a 2005 M3 convertible on my e90 - Conti Sports w/ 225/45/ZR18 front and 255/40 ZR18 rears 8"and 9" respectively.

Will these fit an e90, both in offset and tire clearance?

Gary,

I want to swap out the Conti Sports for Michellin Pilot Sports. Can i keep the 45 thickness in the front the 40 in the back or is it too big? I want this size so I don't damage the wheels. I would would assume M3 wheels are built well but I don't want to dent them and find out.

If not, how small do I need to go? 40 in front 35 in back?

THANKS!

From what I've seen in other posts, I think these are the specs are:

The front wheels are 18X8 with 47mm offset. The rear wheels are 18X9 with 26mm offset. Lug pattern is 5X120.

Not sure since the buyer did not confirm this.

Gary, make these stickies please, with the following titles...

E46 M3 wheels will not fit ANY other BMW except for the E46 M3.

If you want to run E46 M3 wheels on a none M3, you MUST run 4 front rims.

E46 rims TECHNICALLY will fit E90s but offset is generally ~10mm too high. Rims will be pushed into the fender by about 3/8". Make sure you test fit your rim/tire combo before buying.

Not that this will help, because from what I gather, NOBODY reads any of the stickies anyway.

I thought they would fit M Roadster and M Coupe?

Not really, MZ3s use a 8 mm offset in the rear, so you would need to run a 15 - 20 mm spacer.

Its a great idea, but then what would the OG's have to complain about then?? Just 'special' ZHP brakes?

But if anyone wants a set of 4 M3 fronts, I have a set for sale. :)
