Ok here's the thing.
I have just enough money to buy a used 2001 M3 with 35K miles. But it's going to be tight and I'll have to make sacrifices...is it worth it ?lol.... I currently have a 2003 WRX with close to 300HP.
The problem is I'm starting to HATE the feel of the WRX's steering. It feels numb, disconnected from the road. Sure the power is ther and it's glued to the road, but you don't feel glued to the road.
I test drove a 2002 M3 a few weeks ago, my 1st BMW driving experience: holy sh*t!!!
The steering wheel felt soooooo heavy and was a pure joy to feel with the engine purring in neutral. I know it's not the quickest steering ratio (what is it actually?) but the sensation that the car gives back to the driver is.....something that I have never experienced before!
Now in search of a very tight car with excellent steering response and quick reflexes I also came upon a 2002 Honda S2000. Drives like a go-kart and has that tight steering ''point and shoot'' feel to it.
I'm going to go test a 2001 M3 priced at 37 000$US tomorrow. (35K miles) I'm also very interested in a 18 600$US 2002 Honda S2000.
I know the M3 is more powerful, but in terms of handling and steering feel, precision, is the M3 ahead of the S2000?
Thanks
I'm afraid that I'm going to love my test drive tomorrow and have to spend the extra 20K on the M3 lol My friends are sold on M3's and would probably prostitute themselves to buy some....
