The fronts are worn out after 27K miles. I really couldn't wait to get rid off them actually; they are the worst tires I have ever owned. Tramlining is almost dangerous, and to top it all off they are noisy as hell, I feel like I am driving a monster truck, or driving on worn out brakes.

I have been contemplating the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, reading from the reviews they handle extremely well, and are quiet, however some have said that they also have a tendency to tramline, is this true? Anyone out there care to comment? Your help is appreciated.

Btw, if anyone out there loves Yoko tires, the rear ones are for sale, they still have a lot of thread left, how much thread...hm don't ask me,but I can get the tire installer to tell me.

Well, they can my ES100 as well. They drive well, but are way too loud.

I'm running 275/35-18 PS2s on all 4 corners of my E39 540 6spd. The PS2s are the ONLY tires I have found so far that do NOT tramline. BTW Brigdestone SO3s tramline like crazy and so do Proxes.

I would love to hear from anyone else that is running a wider than stock wheel/tire combo on the front and has found a tire that does not tramline.

My experience is that they all tramline after wearing down to less then 5/32's or so. However, I do have a set of Dunlop SSR r-compounds I run on the M5 (9.5" rims, 275/35-18 all around) that only have about 4/32's, and they don't tramline hardly at all. My street tires (PS1) on that car didn't use to tramline one bit, but now that they are worn (about 4/32's left on the fronts), they tram a lot at times. As for Yoko ES100's -- those are some of the worst tires I ever had (this was about 5-6 years ago).
