has anyone out there put larger wheels/tires on their X3 such that overall diameter exceeds 27" and thus reduces that large gap between the top of the tires and the fenders?
just been through my first summer with the X3 and am planning for next. does that large gap between the top of the tire and the fender bother anyone else? regardless of wheel and tire combo offered by BMW, the overall diameter does not exceed 27 inches. perhaps a 255/55 or 60 w/17" wheel (28 or 29" o-all dia) or 255/55 w/18" wheel (29" overall dia)? have asked BMW but they weren't much help.
